All year round, can be served warm or cold.

INGREDIENTS:
half a spoon of cocoa
1 spoon of cocoa beans
1 large banana
1,5-2 dl of almond milk
one pinch of nutmeg

A cuddle smoothie fills us with warmth and love. Let's take care of ourselves. The ancient Incas  considered cocoa to be a food for the gods. Cocoa is an excellent anti-oxidant, it contains a lot of magnesium and effects the happiness hormone, it lifts the mood, heightens concentration and focuses attention. Its taste goes well with a nutritious banana and almond milk. Almonds reduce stress, while the nutmeg contributes its calming effect for the mind.

INGREDIENTS:
3 chunks of mango
1 orange
5 chunks of pineapple
1 spoon of goji berries
one pinch of turmeric
2 dl of water
 
Mango, orange and pineapple contain a lot of vitamins and minerals. In India, mango symbolises life, and for this reason it is used at almost every sacred ritual. It is nutritious, full of fibre and together with pineapple it can be used as part of an anti-fungal diet. Goji berries contain anti-oxidants and are rich in vitamin C. Chinese medicine has been using these berries for a long time to treat different sorts of diseases and they are also used to boost vitality and to strenghthen the body and health. Turmeric has been added for its natural antibiotic properties and for improving the digestion. Its curcumin is a strong anti-oxidant, which means it has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to improve the bowel flora, and is also efficient for cleansing the chakras.

Hemp seeds are a great food and a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids.

INGREDIENTS:
1 large banana
3 spoons of frozen blueberries
1/2 spoon of lemon juice
1 spoon of hemp seeds
2 dl of water

Bananas contain only a little fat, but lots of vitamins, fibre and carbohydrates, which will quickly replace our lost energy. They also improve concentration and facilitate studying, which is important for when we are doing intellectual work. Lemon juice improves the immune system and makes our thinking clear and concentrated. Blueberries, with their earthy taste protect our brain from oxidational stress*, as well as improving focus and memory. They are also good for easing digestional problems and headaches. To make it nutritious we added hemp seeds, a perfect source of easily digestible proteins, which because they contain a lot of healthy nutrients, fibre, vitamins and amino acids, they augment the level of energy and improve the digestion.

*Environmental effects like polluted air, radiation, UV lights, other inputs to our body - conservatives, pesticides, other chemicals, alcohol, tar, effects of stress and ageing.
*Out of season the blueberries can be replaced by acai juice or by frozen blueberries.

INGREDIENTS:
1 peeled orange
1/4 of avocado
1 fistful of early-season spinach
some sprigs of parsley
a piece of ginger
a knife's tip of spirulina
1,5 to 2 dl of water

Green fruits and vegetables are full of chlorophyll and sunlight, which is very beneficial for our body while we are waking up. A chakra heart is green and by eating food that is green in colour we nurture and establish its balance. Orange is rich in vitamin C, is a strong anti-oxidant, has diuretic effects and livens us up. It slows down the process of ageing and detoxes the body. Avocado is a very nutritious fruit, full of fats, anti-oxidants, fibre, and proteins. It contains the glutathione, an anti-oxidant good for detoxing the cells. These sorts of anti-oxidants can be produced by our body itself, but we are too much influenced by pollution of the air, land, and food, but mostly stress. glutathione is also good for the immune system and a healthy nervous system. We added parsley because it helps the body to produce the glutathione, which enables the body to detox and allow the oxygen to more easily enter our cells. Parsley also has good kidney-cleansing properties Spinach contains large quantities of coencim Q10, which protects our skin from sun damage. The chlorophyll in the spinach helps to clean the blood and make the body more alkaline. A piece of ginger improves the blood circulation and thus detoxes the body. What about the Spirulina? It is a super algae, a source of vitality and life energy, it strenghthens the immune system, detoxes the body and is a rich source of many vitamins and minerals. For those who feel the spring in their bodies.

1/2 a cucumber
4 chunks of pineapple
a couple of sprigs of parsley
2 dl of water

Orange is full of vitamin C, it is a strong antioxidant, has diuretic properties and is very uplifting. It slows down the ageing process and detoxes the body. Pineapple is a rich source of fibre, very effective against infections and parasites, improves the immune system, the  digestion and the blood's circulation. The vitamin C in a pineapple improves the metabolism, strenghthens immunity and has an effect on colagen forming, which is essential for beautiful skin. Cucumber is known to be rejuvenating, its juice being good for a detox, making it alkaline, and is therefore good for digestion. All the ingredients in this smoothie are diuretic, meaning they increase the excretion of water from body, helping to cleanse the kidneys and aid the digestion.

An internal bath for a sunny start to the day.

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 of a small pineapple
1 peeled grapefriut
small piece of ginger

The pineapple was brought to Europe from South America by Christopher Columbus; it is a very rich source of fibre and vitamin C. It speeds up the metabolism, strenghthens the immune system, affects the creation of colagen, which is the key to a beautiful skin. It is very efficient against infections and parasites. It also contains a enzyme that decomposes body fats, helps with digestion and reduces flatulence. In the morning our body needs hydration, so we added the grapefruit to this juice. Grapefruit has a lot of water, which is needed for our body to function. It has a lot of vitamins A and C, and improves the immune system. It also improves the metabolism and detoxes the body. Ginger is a universal medication. It helps with breathing and digestive problems, thins the mucus, helps with wind and stomach cramps. Ajurveda it is known for its antidepressant characteristics and enriches our life with energy.

INGREDIENTS:
2 carrots
3/4 of a beetroot
2 oranges

Orange is rich in vitamin C, a strong anti-oxidant, a strong diuretic and is very uplifting. It slows down the ageing process and detoxes the body. Beetroot was known for its blood-cleansing properties already by our ancestors. It is a super vegetable from our gardens, rich in organic acids, anti-oxidants, calcium and silicon, which removes from the body the toxins of heavy metals. It lowers the body temperature and detoxes it. It has a lot of folic acid and therefore is good against tiredness, memory loss, paleness and mental tension. Carrot juice is rich in minerals, vitamins and beta carotene, important for our eyes, skin and vision.

If you wish you can add cinnamon or turmeric.

Detox

For easy living, for the love for oneself and nature.

INGREDIENTS:
1 apple
one fistfull of green spinach
a couple of sprigs of parsley
1/2 of lemon
a third to a half of a cucumber (in the summer season)
one pinch of ground anise

Do you know the old proverb: an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Apples are a great source of energy, speed up the metabolism and the drainage of water from the body, while detoxing and regenerating the organism. Green fruits and vegetables are full for chlorophyll and sunlight, both needed by our body and mind in the times of the rejuvenation of nature. The chakra heart is green and by eating green we nurture and balance it. Spinach contains a lot of coencim 10, which protects the skin from the sun. Also, the chlorophyll cleans the blood and is alkaline for the body. Parsley enables a higher production of glutathione, which speeds up the detox processes by getting more oxygen into our cells. Being a diuretic it helps to cleanse the kidneys. Cucumber is a rejuvenating vegetable - its juice has detox properties, is alkaline for the body and is thus good for levelling the digestion fluids. Lemons strengthen the immune system, hydrate and strenghthen the body, improve the mood, provide vitamin C, and help with bloating. Anise was added for better digestion, for calming the nerves and to stimulate the concentration.

Summer freshness

Juice that keeps you cool in the summer.

INGREDIENTS:
4 large pieces of water melon
1/2 of lime
couple of sprigs of peppermint

We brought together one of our favourite  summer fruits, refreshing watermelon, and lime. Watermelon is an excellent source of anti-oxidants, it contains water, fibre for the digestion, vitamins and minerals. As a final touch we added some peppermint for additional cooling, relaxing and clearing the mind and senses.
In summer we recommend drinking peppermint tea, to cool our bodies from the inside out.

Juice

An autumn tale

For inspiration in the autumn and new ideas to connect us with nature.

INGREDIENTS:
2 carrots
1 apple
a piece of ginger
a pinch of turmeric
a pinch of cayenne pepper

In the autumn nature is silently telling us new stories. We harvest crops and store them for the winter. Just like nature, our own bodies are also slowing down. We should nourish them with warmth, autumn fruits and tuber vegetables, which contain important minerals and vitamins that come from the soil. Carrots are a great source of minerals, vitamins and beta-carotene, which is important for healthy eyes and skin. The most delicious fruit in the autumn, which should not be missing from our story, is apple, full of vitamins, minerals and fibre. Ginger will give us additional warmth and ease the symptoms of colds and headaches. It also eases gases and stomach cramps, also menstrual cramps, and is generally beneficial for the digestion. Cayenne pepper and turmeric have always been great partners. Turmeric is a natural antibiotic,  cleanses the blood, has anti-inflammatory properties, while cayenne pepper encourages blood circulation and has anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties. Winter sun

Warm lemonade in winter.

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 of lemon
a piece of ginger
a pinch of cinnamon
a pinch of ground cloves
3 dl of water

In winter lemon is a real treasure trove of vitamin C. It reinforces our immune system, hydrates and strengthens our body, alkalines the body, improves our moods and reduces  bloating. Drinking warm lemonade also helps to flush the toxins out. Cinnamon, cloves and ginger are great winter spices; they have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and make us feel warm.

Procedure: All the ingredients are mixed together in a blender and then heated up in a coffee maker.

Spring beverage

A great introduction to the summer.

INGREDIENTS:
6 strawberries
1 orange
1 shot of sambucus juice
2 dl of water

Do you also get a smile on your face when, at the market, you see the very first, beautiful, juicy, red strawberries? We cannot wait to mix them with orange and sambucus juice into a spring beverage. They are a rich source of vitamins and minerals, full of sunlight, which is just what our body and soul need after the winter season. Orange and sambucus juice are rich in vitamin C; sambucus juice is also a natural remedy with its flowers having cleansing properties.
